Style over substance - not for business travellers
"I purchased the Travelpro Platinum Elite cabin bag expecting a premium product, but it has been nothing but a disappointment. The design is riddled with flaws that sacrifice practicality for unnecessary features. First and foremost, the four wheels. They take up a significant amount of internal space without offering any real benefit. The result is a noticeably smaller packing capacity compared to my old two-wheel bag — despite the overall dimensions being the same. My previous bag had two wheels cleverly tucked into the sides, leaving the interior spacious. In this model, the bulky wheel housing eats into the usable space, making it feel like half the bag has been given up to accommodate them. The interior design is equally frustrating. The straps meant to secure contents are positioned far too low, which only serves to bunch clothes awkwardly and reduce how much can be packed. They would have been far more effective placed closer to the top. The straps also have attached pocket-like pouches that can’t be removed and serve no purpose other than stealing even more space. The external pockets are another major disappointment. They are not completely useless, but they are too small and restrictive to be practical. A laptop will fit, but toiletries — which need to be removed quickly at airport security — will not. The additional outer pockets are so shallow that they only accommodate very flat items. By contrast, my previous two-wheel cabin bag had properly designed, deeper compartments that made security checks fast and convenient. With the Platinum Elite, those pockets fall short of being genuinely useful. Internally, the handle tubes are oversized and intrude into the packing area, further reducing capacity. This design makes the bag feel substantially smaller than it should be. The shortcomings became crystal clear when I attempted to transfer the exact items from my old bag into this one. Previously, I could comfortably fit five days’ worth of shirts, a spare pair of trousers, underwear and socks, toiletries, a laptop, a tablet, power cables, an extension lead, a Bluetooth speaker, a presentation clicker, a universal socket adapter, four ties, and travel documents. In the Platinum Elite, the same load was impossible to pack — the bag simply doesn’t have the space. At best, it might manage two days’ worth of clothes and essentials, which makes it practically useless for a serious traveler. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing purchase. The Platinum Elite offers style over substance, and I cannot recommend it. If you’re a frequent traveler looking for genuine space and functionality, avoid this bag. Manufacturers need to return to designing practical two-wheeled cabin bags instead of these four-wheel “spinner” models that look sleek but are virtually useless in practice."

Excellent easy rolling and good
"Excellent easy rolling and good packing options. Covers my need for 1-2 days business travel, with ease. Since this was a warranty delivery, I must say - that the warranty procedure was a bit time-consuming, but the resolution was swift and excellent. I got a new suitcase in a very short time. I was pleasantly surprised, and am very satisfied with the replacement I received."

Nice quality and features but heavy
"The size is good for about a week. The wheels roll smoothly, also on uneven surfaces. Only in the airport the bag doesn't necessarily want to go straight and causes some wrist strain because you sometimes have to fight it from making a curve. I use the battery bank pocket for my liquids and believe it would be better if it was designed for this. I'm not using a battery bank passthrough. . . Is anyone? The 2 front pockets are useful for documents or tissues and the large pocket can fit my laptop and tablet without issues."
