Zijn de vermelde afmetingen inclusief wielen en handgrepen?
We vermelden beide afmetingen. De afmetingen van de koffer, alleen de behuizing, zijn 71 x 43 x 32 cm. De totale afmetingen, inclusief wielen en handgrepen, zijn 78 x 46 x 28 cm. Wanneer luchtvaartmaatschappijen afmetinglimieten publiceren, bedoelen ze de totale afmetingen, dus vergelijk de totale afmetingen met de limiet van uw luchtvaartmaatschappij.
Moet ik voor deze koffer extra kosten betalen vanwege de afmetingen?
Luchtvaartmaatschappijen tellen de hoogte, breedte en diepte bij elkaar op voor de limieten van ingecheckte bagage. Deze koffer meet in totaal 146 cm volgens de afmetingen van de koffer zelf en 152 cm inclusief wielen en handgrepen. Hoeveel kan ik inpakken voordat ik de gewichtslimieten van de luchtvaartmaatschappij bereik?
De meeste luchtvaartmaatschappijen hanteren een maximum van 23 kg voor standaard ingecheckte bagage. Deze koffer weegt leeg 4,94 kg, waardoor je nog ongeveer 18,1 kg kunt inpakken voordat er extra kosten voor overgewicht in rekening worden gebracht. Met een inhoud van 130 liter is het mogelijk dat je de gewichtslimiet bereikt voordat je ruimte tekort komt, dus een bagageweegschaal is een handige metgezel voor lange reizen. De toegestane hoeveelheden variëren per luchtvaartmaatschappij en tarief; zie onze gids voor bagageafmetingen.
Maakt de uitbreiding iets uit bij een ingecheckte koffer?
De uitbreiding met rits zorgt voor extra diepte om in te pakken. Bij ingecheckte bagage zijn de praktische limieten de regel van 158 cm lineaire afmetingen en de toegestane gewichtslimiet van je luchtvaartmaatschappij, in plaats van een bagagemeter, dus breid gerust uit op de terugweg, maar houd de weegschaal in de gaten.
Hoe stel ik de combinatie van het TSA-slot in?
Het slot wordt geleverd met de instelling 0-0-0. Om je eigen code in te stellen: draai de draaiknoppen naar 0-0-0, verwijder de ritstrekkers van het slot, druk met een pen op de resetknop aan de zijkant van het slot totdat je een klik hoort, kies je combinatie en druk of schuif vervolgens de ontgrendelknop. Noteer de code op een veilige plek. Mocht je er niet uitkomen, dan kan onze klantenservice je helpen.
Hoe dien ik een garantieclaim in of laat ik reparaties uitvoeren?
Dien een claim in via ons contactformulier voor klanten, met foto’s van het probleem en je aankoopbewijs, of zorg ervoor dat je product in onze database is geregistreerd. Als het probleem onder de garantie valt, zal Travelpro de tas repareren, het defecte onderdeel vervangen of de tas vervangen door een product van vergelijkbare waarde. Hoe maak ik de tas schoon en hoe onderhoud ik deze?
Gebruik een mengsel van 50% alcohol en 50% water, breng dit aan met een zachte doek en wrijf zachtjes over het betreffende gebied totdat de vlek verdwijnt. Laat de tas volledig aan de lucht drogen voordat je hem opbergt. Een beetje citroensap in het mengsel verfrist de stof.

"I really like this bag but it was a MAJOR glaring issue unfortunately. First the good stuff, the wheels and handle and structure are very sturdy. The design is well intention-ed and it is quite large and I love implementation of the built-in TSA functionality. It has basically all the features of the Platinum Elite but without the Platinum Elite price and weight besides the pull out suit bag and battery holder and port. However, even with the bag itself being great, it's biggest flaw is that it is not big enough to nest the Medium sized Versapack+ Check-In Spinner. This is a huge oversight and requires either the removal of the wheels from the medium bag or storing them separately. They are too similar in size. The Medium needs to be a bit smaller or the large needed to be a bit bigger. Either way, since storage of the Versapack+ is so difficult I have knock some points off the review. It's any incredibly huge oversight for an otherwise fantastic piece of luggage."

Because I wanted the matching VersaPack+ collection, I ended up purchasing the Large instead. It provides plenty of overall volume, but it is larger than I really wanted or needed. Unfortunately, my concerns go beyond the size. The telescoping handle can get stuck and does not consistently retract as smoothly as I would expect from luggage at this price point. I previously had a very positive experience with a product from Travelpro’s Platinum line, which contributed to my expectations for the VersaPack+. The weight is also a significant drawback, particularly with the Large. The suitcase itself consumes a considerable amount of the airline weight allowance before anything is packed into it, which undermines some of the benefit of having all that additional capacity. The organization is one of my biggest design disappointments. For a suitcase this large, there are not enough useful pockets or internal structure to keep belongings contained and separated. The result is that items tend to shift and flop around inside rather than staying organized. There is plenty of raw capacity, but the interior does not make especially efficient or controlled use of that space. For something marketed as VersaPack+, I expected a much more thoughtful organization system. I like the Elemental Blue, but my experience with the matching VersaPack+ luggage has also made me question the practicality of the fabric. After having to check one of the other pieces once, it came back stained, and I have not been able to completely remove the staining. The wheels and maneuverability are excellent, and there are certainly things I still like about Travelpro. But between the troublesome handle, weight, lack of useful pockets, poor internal control of the contents, and my experience with the exterior fabric, the VersaPack+ collection has been disappointing. Having the Medium sell out while it was already in my cart only compounded the experience. I ended up with a larger and heavier suitcase than I wanted, and unfortunately, the additional size did not give me the additional organization I expected."
