Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. If you get stuck, our customer service team can help.

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hard shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance.

"The bag makes good use of airline size requirements - most carry-ons I've tried haven't been the perfect combo of slim but wide, but this case fits the bill perfectly. It is very lightweight, but I'm a little concerned that it could damage easily because of that. The spinner wheels are super smooth. Honestly my only complaint thus far is that the expander zip has already popped open - it would be nice if that was more durable."
"This exact dimension suitcase is very difficult to find in the US. This is nearly one of the only options. Even suitcases that boast the same dimensions do not actually fit in Icelandair's metal box. This one does perfectly (do not expand). While the dimensions are useless for many domestic airlines because it is actually too wide, this suitcase is your European travel best bet. I was thrilled to see it back in stock after being out of stock for months so I could buy a second one for my mom. I wish the colors were more fun but that isn't the point."

"I am really happy with this case. It is perfect for my needs. I like that the internal space has zipped covers preventing items falling out when opening. They have some give so can be stretched over packed items. The wheels work very well and it is very smooth to wheel about. A couple of cons for me (small ones!). I would have likes more zipped pockets inside, on both sides of the case, maybe 2 on one side and a larger one on the other for an ipad for example. The handle "mechanism" protudes into the case space inside which means that packing cubes cannot lie flat and makes it a little awkward to pack some items around them. However, over all I'm very happy with the case."

"This has been my go to suitcase lately. I have the Maxlite Air in Orchid and have used it for years, but recently I have been reaching for this new version because its so much lighter than the original. It's easier to pull down from the airplane's overhead compartment even without the side handle. The sleek design and comfort grip handle takes the strain off my hands while walking through the airport. It's slightly shorter and wider than the original, but surprisingly holds just as much. The built in TSA locks and expandable zipper are a nice bonus."
"The piece is extremely light and has the room for plenty of items. My medications, toiletries and plenty of room for a long weekend. It fits in the overhead of a regional plane which is wonderful. I placed my underwear travelpro bag on top slipped over the handle, but you have to hold on the the roller bag because the weight of the underseat bag makes it fall over. It also makes the rollers get stuck and not spin correctly. I am assuming it is due to the weight distribution. There is a handle on top, but no side handle which we be best for my living situation in NYC. I live in a walk up pre war building and having the ability to turn the piece sideways would make it easier to carry the piece up and down the two flights of stairs to get me to the first floor. The bag is beautiful and spacious, but wish you could actually customize the luggage for your individual wants and needs. I do recommend TravelPro for purchase to my family and friends."
