Frequently Asked Questions
What are the exact dimensions?
It measures 40 x 30 x 15 cm. It weighs 1 kg and holds 16 litres.
Can I bring this on the plane in addition to a cabin bag?
On most airlines a bag like this travels as your personal item, stored under the seat, alongside a full-size cabin bag in the overhead bin. Budget carriers can be strict about second-bag sizes, so check your airline's personal item dimensions to confirm. Our airline guide lists cabin bag rules by carrier.
How much does it hold?
The listed capacity is 16 litres at 1 kg empty.
Will it fit my laptop?
Yes, the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 15.7 inch (about 40 cm) screens. That covers the MacBook Air 13 and 15, MacBook Pro 14, Dell XPS 13 through 15, ThinkPad X1 Carbon, and Surface Laptop models. A 16-inch class laptop such as the MacBook Pro 16 will likely be too large for the sleeve. Screen size is the guide; a slim sleeve or case on the laptop usually still fits.
Does it have RFID protection?
Yes. The ID TheftBlock™ pocket is RFID-blocking, shielding passports and cards from wireless skimming while you travel.
Is it water resistant?
Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy pavements and daily wear.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start a claim through our customer contact form with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase, or make sure your product is registered in our database. If the issue is covered, Travelpro will repair the bag, replace the defective part, or replace the bag with a product of comparable value. You can also verify the coverage for your collection on our Warranty & Repair page.
How do I clean and care for it?
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric.
What warranty does this come with?
Travelpro products are covered against defects in materials and workmanship, on top of your 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under EU law. See our Warranty & Repair page for the coverage that applies to this product, plus a 14-day free returns period if you change your mind.

I love this backpack! It
"I love this backpack! It is everything I wanted. Really nice padded straps, lightweight, and big enough to hold my 15” AirMac. Multiple pockets to organize me as I travel. Lastly the exterior is durable and zippers are rugged. I’m tough on backpacks - so this one is perfect!"
Wait what - changes in LH-hand luggage rules . . . ?!
"Yes! the size 40x30x15 cm is not the max for free hand luggage in LH-associated flights . . . "personal item" (in addition to that carry-on is still 55x40x23 - 8kg max, unless you fly "economic basic". That was the reason for me to look for a new back-bag and voila - "Travelpro serves the travel-pro" (apologies - I couldn't help this one . . . ) apart from that: I was sold by the interiors of this back-bag and I could fit stuff incl. laptop, mouse and respective chargers I needed for a 2-3 night trip (NB: I was "travelling light", so no special occasion or 2nd pair of shoes etc. ). The fact that this item can stand upright by itself when it's empty is a huge plus. The only thing I might want to note is that the shoulder-straps could be formed a bit more anatomically . . . other than that: 100% satisfaction and would purchase again!"

"I keep adding to my collection piece by piece. I like that you clearly list the weight of your collection. I am an older traveler and needed something easy to handle. So far so good!"
"Heel mooie rugzak, goed afgewerkt. Blij mee!"

"Just a class act. Durable, well made, well thought out"
Will not slide on a rollaboard handle- design flaw with drop on sleeve.
"The backpack has a sleeve to allow you to slide it on the handle of a roll aboard case for easy transport. The sleeve is designed such that it will NOT fit on the handle of a rollaboard bag if there is anything in the back pack. Non-functional. Design flaw."
Stylish, compact and lightweight
"This backpack is a perfect size for a personal carryon item It is compact enough to fit under the seat but big enough to hold everything you need. It is a perfect compliment to the carry on spinner and fits nicely through the handle for easier carying."
Backpack
"It’s the perfect size and has plenty compartments. It gets a bit snug when you put two laptops (MacBook Pro 16” + MacBook Air 13”) but it does have a little stretch to it. It’s my go to travel bag now!"
