Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. If you get stuck, our customer service team can help.

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hard shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance.

I have set and tried the tsa approved lock multiple times without an issue. The telescoping handle seems to lock sturdy in 2 heights. It rolls smoothly. It is slightly heavier (about . 5 pound) then my Delsey but not enough to worry about."
