Frequently Asked Questions
Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions, the packing body only, are 69.8 x 47 x 30.5 cm. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 77.5 x 49.5 x 30.5 cm. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Will I owe oversize fees on this bag?
Airlines add height, width and depth together for checked bag limits. This bag measures 147 cm total by case dimensions and 158 cm including wheels and handles. The standard checked bag limit on most airlines is 158 cm. This bag sits within that limit. More detail in our luggage size guide.
How much can I pack before hitting airline weight limits?
Most airlines cap standard checked bags at 23 kg. This bag weighs 5.8 kg empty, which leaves about 17.2 kg of packing before standard overweight fees. At 108 litres it is possible to out-pack the weight limit before you run out of space, so a luggage scale is a good companion for long trips. Allowances vary by airline and fare, see our luggage size guide.
Does the expansion matter on a checked bag?
The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth. On a checked bag the practical limits are the 158 cm linear size rule and your airline's weight allowance rather than a sizer, so expand freely on the way home, but keep an eye on the scale.
How do I set the TSA lock combination?
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. If you get stuck, our customer service team can help.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start a claim through our customer contact form with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase, or make sure your product is registered in our database. If the issue is covered, Travelpro will repair the bag, replace the defective part, or replace the bag with a product of comparable value. You can also verify the coverage for your collection on our Warranty & Repair page.
How do I clean and care for it?
Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hard shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Travelpro® 10 Year Warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship, on top of your 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under EU law, plus a 14-day free returns period if you change your mind.

Great . Used them for
"Great . Used them for the first time this week. Excellent design, ease of rollers and the carry on fit with extra room."
The handle, wheels, and zippers
"The handle, wheels, and zippers work great. However, after one, single trip, the side got really scuffed up. I was very disappointed. I read about how to take care of scuffs on the Travelpro website, but it did NOTHING to lessen the marks. It is not the most expensive luggage on the market, but it was expensive to me. It looks terrible and it is brand new."
Brought this for my wife
"Brought this for my wife for our next trip scheduled next month. So likes the brand and style——well built and wheels are heavy duty but smooth. Anxious for her to test it out on our trip"
Love it!
"Love it!"
I'm disappointed in this product.
"I'm disappointed in this product. Took it on it's first trip and it was not as "scratch resistant" as I would've hoped. . . both the case and protected corners were scratched, and the top of the case also has a dent - this after only one trip?! Product certainly didn't live up to the hype."
Nice looking set of luggage.
"Nice looking set of luggage. Wheels roll very nicely. Handle is smooth to raise and lower. Zippers are smooth. Like that it came with extra zipper pulls, shoe bags, and luggage tags. Only thing I dislike is the 25 inch and 29 inch bag are the same width so you can't beat the luggage. The carry one fits in either of the larger but you can't nest all 3. The locking zipper into the TSA lock works nicely. We purchased this same luggage in all 3 sizes for 3 of us so far but waiting on a new color before we can buy the 3rd set as we all want different colors."
This bag is a traveler's
"This bag is a traveler's dream and surprisingly spacious. The handle is sturdy, the wheels roll incredibly smoothly, and the compression straps on one side kept everything perfectly in place and easy to pack. The built in TSA locks and zippers are strong and easy to zip."
Great all-purpose hard-sided luggage for work and play
"This is my fourth travel, pro bag, and it measures up to my needs without a question. It rolls extremely well, and really don’t have any problems in the airport or at the baggage claim. I wish the handle was a little bit longer because I carry a backpack with a sleeve on it, although the handle is very sturdy and I really appreciate that, also. The tiedowns inside the compartments, along with the zippered closing left and right compartments are very useful as I can put different clothing for work and play in different sides. I usually cover my bag with a large duffel when it goes underneath the plane as I found that to be the best way to travel for the last 20 years. In addition, that duffel can double us an extra bag if I need it when I’m returning from my destination and find a wonderful treasure that I want to bring home. The zippers are strong with no breakage whatsoever on any of my pieces, let alone this one, and all I highly recommend this luggage for work and play. my motto has been fulfilled, yet again, which is “buy once, cry once”. The great thing is that the price point is not nearly as high as many of the competition and the quality and guarantee still great."
Perfect Luggage for Long Weekend or Long Trip!
"This is my 4th piece of Travel Pro luggage - and it is great! I love the inside divider panels with zippers on each side to hold everything in place so it's not all tossed around when you open it back up. And there are zippers on the divider panels to safely secure small treasures. It holds a lot - I had to be careful not to over pack! It is very easy to wheel around - and the handles are strong and easy to grab. The shell is very strong - no scratches after several uses. I would definitely order this again!"
