Frequently Asked Questions
Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions, the packing body only, are 50 x 34 x 22 cm. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 56 x 36 x 23 cm. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Will this bag fit my airline's cabin size limits?
This bag is sizer bin tested. Its overall dimensions including wheels and handles are 56 x 36 x 23 cm. Published cabin bag limits for major European airlines:
| Airline | Published cabin bag limit |
|---|---|
| Ryanair | 55 x 40 x 20 cm |
| easyJet | 56 x 45 x 25 cm |
| British Airways | 56 x 45 x 25 cm |
| Lufthansa | 55 x 40 x 23 cm |
| Air France | 55 x 35 x 25 cm |
| KLM | 55 x 35 x 25 cm |
By the published numbers it fits within the cabin bag limits at easyJet and British Airways. Airlines measure the overall size, wheels and handles included, and policies change, so always check your carrier before travel. Our airline guide covers more carriers. And if it does not work out, you can return it free within 14 days of receipt.
Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?
Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
Is it water resistant?
Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy pavements and daily wear.
How do I set the TSA lock combination?
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. If you get stuck, our customer service team can help.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start a claim through our customer contact form with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase, or make sure your product is registered in our database. If the issue is covered, Travelpro will repair the bag, replace the defective part, or replace the bag with a product of comparable value. You can also verify the coverage for your collection on our Warranty & Repair page.
How do I clean and care for it?
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Travelpro® 5 Year Warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship, on top of your 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under EU law, plus a 14-day free returns period if you change your mind.

Reviews
TravelPro did it again. Needing
"TravelPro did it again. Needing an International Size carry-on at a reasonable price because I need the larger size for regular domestic travel I was very pleased at the price point for the quality and love the new inclusion of replacement zipper pulls as that is always a frustration."
★★☆☆☆ Good concept, but disappointing
"★★☆☆☆ Good concept, but disappointing in actual use I purchased the VersaPack+ at a discount and really wanted to like it. I have previously owned a product from Travelpro’s Platinum line and had a very positive experience with its quality, so I had fairly high expectations for the VersaPack+. Unfortunately, after actually traveling with it, I have been disappointed. My biggest frustration is the telescoping handle. It gets stuck and does not consistently retract smoothly. For luggage at this price point, the handle should operate reliably without having to fight with it to get it back down. The weight is another drawback. For a carry-on, the bag itself is heavier than I would prefer before I have even packed anything into it. The organizational system also sounds considerably better on paper than I have found it to be in actual use. There are plenty of organizational features, but the organization and usable packing capacity leave a lot to be desired. More compartments do not necessarily mean better use of the available space. I also had to check the bag on one trip, and the Elemental Blue fabric came back noticeably stained. I understand that checked luggage is going to get dirty and handled roughly, but I have tried to clean the staining and have been unable to get it out. For a piece of luggage designed for frequent travel, I expected the exterior material to be somewhat easier to maintain. There are positives. The wheels are excellent, maneuverability is very good, and I still like the appearance and color of the bag. I also continue to have a favorable impression of Travelpro based on my previous experience with the Platinum line. This review is about the VersaPack+, not Travelpro as a whole. At the discounted price, I thought the VersaPack+ represented an opportunity to get the Travelpro quality I had previously experienced at a great value. After actually using it, however, the troublesome handle, weight, limited usable packing capacity, and difficulty cleaning the exterior make it hard for me to recommend this particular product. Two stars for the VersaPack+. I expected considerably more from it."
It's love at first trip!
"It's love at first trip! I'm in Italy as I write this, after traveling for the first time with this bag. I am so much more organized than I usually am, and I travel a lot! The bag's pockets and features are excellent. It's my first 4-wheel bag and I can't believe the ease of handling vs. my 2-wheel bag. Plus, it's easy to get into the overhead bin. I was skeptical when it arrived and I didn't think all my stuff would fit. But I'm on a 2 week trip and was able to bring everything I need! I had a TravelPro back in the 1990s when they first came out, and I am so happy to be back with the brand."
It falls forward no matter
"It falls forward no matter how I pack it. The compression feature is lackluster - I haven't been able to use it without it causing the bag to expand beyond the compact carryon rules and making the zipper lock difficult or impossible to use."
Super little traveler
"I love this bag and all the “extras” that were included, like the two small zippered bags and the shoe bag. This is the first time I’ve purchased blue from travel Pro and I really like the color. In fact, the only travel gear I have now is Travel Pro."
Christmas Present
"It's still in the box. A gift for my wife. Get back to me in six months."
Love the Suitcase
"Love the suitcase, hate the color"
Perfection on Wheels
"Love the color! Love the features! Love the wheels!"
