We publish both numbers. The case dimensions, the packing body only, are 53 x 36 x 23 cm. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 57 x 37 x 24 cm. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.

Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?

Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.

Is it water resistant?

Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy pavements and daily wear.

How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?

Start a claim through our customer contact form with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase, or make sure your product is registered in our database. If the issue is covered, Travelpro will repair the bag, replace the defective part, or replace the bag with a product of comparable value. How do I clean and care for it?

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric.

The revolutionary MagnaTrac® system includes four self-aligning magnetic spinner wheels that eliminate drift, keeping your luggage rolling straight—unlike traditional spinners. Terrible design, bad customer service

"I am a flight attendant and I have been using the Flightcrew 11 spinner for 1 year with no problems. I decided to "upgrade" to this more durable, higher quality bag and it was a huge mistake. It easily falls over, doesn't roll smoothly on carpet, and the laptop pocket is unusable (since it causes it to topple over). The bars in the center of the suitcase make packing a hassle and it's difficult to maximize the space while carefully packing items by weight to prevent the bag from being too topheavy to stand upright. I contacted Travelpro to exchange the bag, and it is an inconvenient and expensive process. If you absolutely want a spinner, look elsewhere."

Great suitcase with one downfall

"I purchased this suitcase to replace a 10 year old hardsided bag that has traveled the world with me and recently broke due to a security agent. To say it had some big expectations to fill is an understatement. This review comes after a two week trip through Asia and a one week trip for a family holiday. This suitcase is well built, the materials all appear to be solid and I haven't noticed any quality escapes. The handles are all stout and the zippers are heavy duty with good feel without any binding. The telescoping handle releases with ease and doesn't "wobble" about. The wheels are probably my favorite feature as they are smooth and the magnetic witchcraft inside them keep the suitcase from shimmying down the concourse. The inside is nicely lined and offers a good amount of room compared to similar sized suitcases. There are three mesh pockets on the sides and tops that you can stick stuff in (although I have no clue what I'd put in there). The laptop sleeve is one of the reason I bought the bag and it is lined with a fair bit of foam. There are also two other front storage zippers. The top one fits my Bose headphones with ease and the bottom one is great for a standard sized Ipad (not the TV screen they sell now). Overall its a great bag. Although two major complaints. The first being that the telescoping handle takes up a decent amount of room on the interior of the bag. If you are packing for a long trip you basically need to take all your socks and underwear to roll them between the tubes, otherwise its a ton of wasted space. The second and by far the biggest downfall of this bag is that it is severely unbalanced. If you pack it full or put a heavy laptop in the front sleeve it has a tendency to tip forward due to the front wheels being too under the bag. I need to play with packing the bag differently to see if I can get it to balance."
