Will this fit under an airline seat?

It is designed for the space under the seat in front of you: the case is 39 x 35 x 20 cm (43 x 36 x 22 cm overall including wheels and handle). Underseat clearance varies by aircraft and seat position, bulkhead and some window seats have less room, so on smaller regional aircraft it may need the overhead bin instead.

Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?

We publish both numbers. The case dimensions, the packing body only, are 39 x 35 x 20 cm. The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 43 x 36 x 22 cm. When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.

Does this count as my cabin bag or my personal item?

On most airlines a bag this size travels as the small personal item, the bag that goes under the seat in front of you, which can let you bring a full-size cabin bag too. Personal item limits vary by airline and are often smaller than the underseat space itself, so check your carrier's published numbers. Will it fit my laptop?

Yes, the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 14 inch (about 36 cm) screens. That covers 13 and 14 inch models such as the MacBook Air 13, MacBook Pro 14, Dell XPS 13 and 14, and ThinkPad X1 Carbon. 15 and 16 inch laptops will not fit the sleeve. Screen size is the guide; a slim sleeve or case on the laptop usually still fits.

Is it water resistant?

Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy pavements and daily wear.

How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?

Start a claim through our customer contact form with photos of the issue and your proof of purchase, or make sure your product is registered in our database. If the issue is covered, Travelpro will repair the bag, replace the defective part, or replace the bag with a product of comparable value. How do I clean and care for it?

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric.

The design is not ideal.

"The design is not ideal. Each time I lower the telescopic handle and try to close the zipper, the two zippers that close the main part of the bag get caught. This requires me to stop each time to move the two zippers out of the way so that I can close the zipper that houses the handle. The band in the back of the luggage is too tight to put over the handle of a larger piece of luggage. I would not recommend anyone buy this model. I am sorry I did."
